The SSE Yearbook published Amish melon for the first time in 1983. Fruits are oval-shaped, 9″ long, and weigh 4–7 pounds. With a thick skin and exceptionally juicy sweet orange flesh, muskmelon taste is fully present. produces quality crops in practically any environment.

Vitamins+: B5, B6, C+++, K+, K+, Mn+
Companion plants: Marigold, Lettuce, Radish, Catnip, Alliums, Corn, Dill, Sunflower, Peas, Oregano, Nasturtium. 
Far from: Cucumber, Potato.
Planting tip: Soak in warm water up to 24H & scarify for improved germination. Direct seed 1-2 weeks after last frost. Can also start indoors 4 weeks before the planting date.
Harvesting tip: Harvest when yellow. For peak flavor, harvest fruits when slightly under-ripe, before the rind turns yellow and the fruit softens.
Storage tip: Ripe melon lasts 4 weeks in cold storage.

L’annuaire de la SSE a publiĂ© le melon Amish pour la première fois en 1983. Les fruits ont une forme ovale, mesurent 9” de long et pèsent de 4 Ă  7 livres. Avec une peau Ă©paisse et une chair orange sucrĂ©e exceptionnellement juteuse, le goĂ»t du melon musquĂ© est pleinement prĂ©sent. Produit des fruits de qualitĂ© dans pratiquement tous les environnements.
