ID: 50550 | Planting Tip: space them 1″ apart when spring soil °T is above 15°C. If planting in multiple rows set rows 2-3′ apart. Prefer being grown in alkaline soil. Require consistent watering until they’re established. Harvesting Tip: To efficiently collect seeds, cut stems below flower heads, whether the seeds are ripe or green. If green, bundle the flowers, hang them upside down in a cool place, and let seeds naturally ripen & dry, ensuring a container or cloth is below to catch them. If seeds are already dry, shake flowers upside down over a container or inside a bag to easily release ripe seeds. Storage Tip: Make sure the seeds are completely dry, then place them in an airtight container. |
