The Carolina Reaper – Red is a super-hot chili pepper, widely known as one of the hottest peppers in the world. It delivers an intense, fiery heat with a fruity, slightly sweet flavor and subtle hints of floral notes. Fruits are small to medium-sized, wrinkled, and ripen to a bright red color. Scoville Heat Units range from 1,500,000 to 2,200,000.

With its 1.5-inch length this is the most recent variety of Carolina Reaper. In Canada plants thrive in pots or in greenhouses or tunnels. Pods have a wonderful scent and smokey heat. Some pots turn slightly orange before turning red but most start out green and ripen to red. The powder is excellent however producing a large amount of powder requires many pods.

Les gousses ont un parfum merveilleux et une chaleur fumeuse. Certaines gousses deviennent légèrement orange avant de devenir rouges mais la plupart commencent par être vertes et mûrissent en rouge.
