This beet has striking crimson and white interior zoning and sweet flavor. Guardsmark strain is selected for more uniform roots than the standard Chioggia beet strain. High resistance to bolting.

Companion plants: Lettuce, Alliums, Bush Beans, Brassicas (except Mustard), Radish, Marigold, Catnip.
Far from: Pole Beans, Mustard Family.

Cette betterave à saveur douce a des stries rouges et blanches frappantes à l’intérieur. La variété Guardsmark est cultivée pour ses racines plus uniformes que la souche standard de la betterave Chioggia. Résistance élevée à la montaison.

Plantes compagnes: Laitue, Alliums, Haricot Buissonnier, Brassicacées (sauf Moutarde), Radis, Tagète, Cataire.
Loin de: Haricots à Rames, Famille des Moutardes.
Ensemencement: Il est recommandé de faire tremper les graines dans de l’eau tiède pendant 12 heures maximum pour favoriser la germination. Semez directement en pleine terre une fois tout risque de gel écarté. Pour les semis d’automne, semez 6 à 8 sem. avant les premières gelées.
Récolte: Récolter au besoin. Récolter toute taille
