Original Breeder: Wild Garden Seeds: Quote from them: “Recently rechristened by our friend Elanor at Persephone Farm, ‘Dragon Tongue’ is our newest mustard recombination, melding the mellow Horned with the sweet and colorful Miike. Slow bolting with high contrast leaves of purple veining on a bright green background, and wide midribs that grow and thicken at maturity, “horning up” into a great stir-fry vegetable. Salad size leaves are textured and colorful, with full sweet mustard flavor, but not too hot. My fall favorite, hardy well into winter. Last mustard to bolt in spring.”

Original Breeder : Wild Garden Seeds : Citation d’eux : “Récemment rebaptisée par notre amie Elanor de la ferme Persephone, ‘Dragon Tongue’ est notre dernière recombinaison de moutarde, fusionnant la Horned moelleuse avec la Miike douce et colorée. Elle a une floraison lente et des feuilles très contrastées, avec des veines violettes sur un fond vert vif, et de larges côtes centrales qui grandissent et s’épaississent à maturité, pour devenir un excellent légume à sauter. Les feuilles de la taille d’une salade sont texturées et colorées, avec une saveur de moutarde douce, mais pas trop forte. Ma préférée de l’automne, résistante jusqu’en hiver. Dernière moutarde à monter en graines au printemps.
