The Early Hanover Melon is an heirloom cantaloupe that produces oval fruits with sweet, salmon-colored flesh. It is known for its earliness, making it suitable for shorter growing seasons. The rind is netted and light buff in color.

Companion plants: Marigold, Lettuce, Radish, Catnip, Alliums, Corn, Dill, Sunflower, Peas, Oregano, Nasturtium.
Far from: Cucumber, Potato.
Planting tip: Soak in warm water up to 24H & scarify for improved germination. Direct seed 1-2 weeks after last frost. Can also start indoors 4 weeks before the planting date.
Harvesting tip: Harvest when yellow. For peak flavor, harvest fruits when slightly under-ripe, before the rind turns yellow and the fruit softens.
Storage tip: Ripe melon lasts 4 weeks in cold storage.

Le melon Early Hanover est une variété ancienne de cantaloup produisant des fruits ovales à la chair sucrée, de couleur saumon. Sa précocité le rend idéal pour les saisons de culture courtes. Son écorce est réticulée et de couleur beige clair.

Plantes compagnes: Tagète, Laitue, Radis, Cataire, Alliums, Maïs, Aneth, Tournesol, Pois, Origan, Capucine.
Loin de: Concombre, Patate.
