An assortment of ultra-early, cool-weather adaptable melons from different gene pools. Small, single-serving melons range in size from a baseball to a softball and are different in colour (most have green flesh, but some have orange), texture, and flavour. Selected for our short-season. Bred by Tim Peters of Riddle, Oregon-based Peters Seed and Research.

Companion plants: Marigold, Lettuce, Radish, Catnip, Alliums, Corn, Dill, Sunflower, Peas, Oregano, Nasturtium.
Far from: Cucumber, Potato.
Planting tip: Soak in warm water up to 24H & scarify for improved germination. Direct seed 1-2 weeks after last frost. Can also start indoors 4 weeks before the planting date.
Harvesting tip: Harvest when yellow. For peak flavor, harvest fruits when slightly under-ripe, before the rind turns yellow and the fruit softens.
Storage tip: Ripe melon lasts 4 weeks in cold storage.

Ces petits melons à portion unique, dont la taille varie de celle d’une balle de baseball à celle d’une balle molle, se distinguent par leur couleur (la plupart ont une chair verte, mais certains sont orange), leur texture et leur saveur. Sélectionné pour notre courte saison de culture. Sélectionné par Tim Peters de Riddle, Oregon, Peters Seed and Research.
