Haitian heirloom from the Scotch Bonnet family — Haiti’s traditional pepper culture traces back through centuries of Taíno, West African, and Creole agricultural heritage. Small, upright purple fruits ripen through orange to red with the characteristic fruity-tropical habanero aroma of the Caribbean. Essential in Haitian epis (sofrito base), pikliz (pickled cabbage condiment), and griot.

Vitamins+: A, B6, C+++., K+., Capsaicin.
Companion plants: Alliums, Basil, Tomato, Spinach, Oregano, Marjoram, Nasturtium, Marigold. 
Far from: Beans, Brassicas, Fennel.
Planting tip: Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before planting.||For best results harden off at 18-19°C

Variété ancienne haïtienne de la famille des Scotch Bonnet — la culture traditionnelle du piment en Haïti remonte à des siècles d’héritage agricole taïno, ouest-africain et créole. Ses petits fruits dressés, de couleur violette, mûrissent en passant par l’orange puis le rouge, et dégagent l’arôme fruité et tropical caractéristique du habanero des Caraïbes. Ingrédient essentiel de l’epis (base du sofrito), du pikliz (condiment pour chou mariné) et du griot haïtiens.
