Introduced in 1889 by the New York-based Peter Henderson Company. A disease-resistant, productive, and early-maturing dwarf lima. Produces small creamy white limas for the home gardener and canner that are distinct in color and excellent in quality. Desirable and dependable in adverse conditions. Bush habit.

Storage tip: Freezing is best if reserved for dry beans.

Introduite en 1889 par la comapgnie new-yorkaise Peter Henderson. Une fève lima naine résistante aux maladies, productive et à maturation précoce. Elle produit de petits haricots blanc crème pour le jardinier et le conserveur qui sont d’une couleur distincte et d’excellente qualité. Désirable et fiable dans des conditions défavorables. Port buissonnant.

Ensemencement: Il est recommandé de faire tremper les graines dans de l’eau tiède pendant 8 heures maximum pour une meilleure germination. Un trempage plus long ne permettra pas la germination. Semez directement en pleine terre après les dernières gelées. Pour une récolte continue de haricots frais, semez toutes les 3 sem..
Récolte: Attendez que les gousses et les graines enfermées aient atteint une maturité complète. Pour les haricots secs, laissez beaucoup d’espace pour la circulation de l’air afin qu’ils puissent sécher plus tard dans la saison.
