L’okra indien, également connu sous le nom d’Abelmoschus manihot, est un légume-feuille aux grandes feuilles lobées. Il produit de jolies fleurs jaune pâle à cœur marron. Cette plante prospère en climat chaud et constitue un atout nutritif pour le jardin ; ses jeunes feuilles et ses pousses sont comestibles. Elle est apparentée à l’hibiscus.
