Varieties from the 1800s, bred for earliness and size. Plant keeps producing until frost. Highly vigorous climber has 4-6 large, creamy limas per pod that are very delicious.

Companion plants: Corn, Carrot, Cabbage, Cucumber, Pea, Radish, Potato, Squash, Nasturtium, Rosemary. 
Far from: Alliums, Beets.
Planting tip: Direct seed after all danger of frost has passed. To continuously harvest fresh beans, plant every 3 weeks.
Harvesting tip: Wait until pods and enclosed seeds have reached complete maturity. For dry beans, allow plenty of space for airflow so they can dry later in the season.
Storage tip: Freezing is best if reserved for dry beans.
