This variety produces full, dense heads averaging 11–12 inches long with an attractive dark red hue, making it a standout in the garden or market. While visually stunning, it is more prone to internal tipburn in hot weather compared to green varieties. It is also somewhat susceptible to bolting under stress, including cold nighttime temperatures below 50°F after transplanting. Best suited for consistent, moderate conditions to ensure optimal growth and quality.
