Captain Cook’s voyagers noted it in 1770 on the shores of Queen Charlotte’s Sound in New Zealand. Not true spinach nor does it taste like one. Heat tolerant. Chefs have discovered that it is a very good green baked, especially in lasagna. Soak in water before sowing to improve germination. Irrigate frequently and pick often to keep the leaves tender and succulent and to avoid yellowing. Will withstand frosts. Vitamins+: A, B2+, B9+, C+, K+, Ca++, Fe++, K+, Mg+, Mn++, Iron, Lutein, Zeaxanthin Companions: Strawberry, Eggplant, Peas, Brassicas, Beans, Cilantro, Oregano, Rosemary. Far from: Potato.
