ID: 24425 | Planting Tip: Direct sow seeds in early spring after the last frost or transplant seedlings. Plantain prefers well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade. Harvesting Tip: Harvest young leaves in spring before flowering for best tenderness. Cut leaves at the base. Older leaves are tougher but can be cooked. Seeds can be collected when seed stalks dry. Storage Tip: Keep in a plastic bag in the vegetable section of the freezer for up to 3 days. Â |
