ID: 63726 | Planting Tip: Transplant seedlings outside 2 weeks after the last frost. Need a cool period of 10-11 days below 10°C, to induce flowering in the 1st year, but won’t survive a hard frost. Space plants 3′ apart. Harvesting Tip: Artichoke’s ready to harvest when the center choke bud is 3-5″. If left too long, it’ll get rough. Side buds should be picked when 1-3″. Left too long, the bud will open into the aromatic & gorgeous artichoke flower. Storage Tip: Store at 0°C in high humidity for 2 weeks. |
