ID: 63900 | Planting Tip: Direct sow or transplant seedlings in early spring for best results. These crops prefer cooler °T and full sun to partial shade. Harvesting Tip: Harvest outer leaves as needed when young and tender for cut-and-come-again. Cut whole plant at base when mature. Harvest before flowering for best flavor; bolted greens become bitter. Storage Tip: Keep in a plastic bag in the vegetable section of the freezer for up to 3 days.  |
