A Serrano-type pepper that bears 2-2 1/2″ long, tasty, fiery, dark green fruit even in mild summers. Compared to some of our other early hot pepper varieties, Serrano Huasteca peppers take a little longer to ripen and turn red, but the added flavor is worth the wait.  Only second to popularity after jalapenos in Mexican cuisine. Often used in Mexican hot sauces and in making pico de gallo dishes. The Serrano pepper is a native of the hilly regions of the Huasteca region of Mexico, which is situ… Vitamins+: A, B6, C+++., K+., Capsaicin.
