ID: 24445 | Planting Tip: Direct sow or transplant in early spring. Shungiku prefers moist, fertile soil and full sun to partial shade. Harvesting Tip: Harvest outer leaves as needed when 10-15 cm tall. Cut entire plant before flowering for best flavor, as bolted leaves become bitter. Can be harvested as baby greens at 4-6 weeks for a milder taste. Storage Tip: Keep in a plastic bag in the vegetable section of the freezer for up to 3 days.
