From the Thai tradition — ‘Khi’ references the prik khi nu (bird’s eye chilli) of Southeast Asian cuisine, one of Thailand’s most fundamental ingredients. The ‘Super’ designation indicates a larger-fruited or more prolific selection of this compact bird’s eye type. Small, pointed fruits with intense, immediate heat and a bright, fruity-herbal flavour essential to Thai green curry paste, nam prik, and pad kaprao. Vitamins+: A, B6, C+++., K+., Capsaicin. Companions: Alliums, Basil, Tomato, Spinach, Oregano, Marjoram, Nasturtium, Marigold. Far from: Beans, Brassicas, Fennel. GaiaOrganics.ca |
