This compact non-trailing nasturtium has deep-red flowers that have a velvety texture. They appear in great profusion over a prolonged period and the best display is produced when they are grown in full sun. Excellent for borders and patio containers.Nasturtium attracts beneficial insects while aromatic foliage can deter pests. Widely used as a companion plant!

Companion plants: Throughout the Garden (helps Almost Everything), Brassicas, Cucurbits, Beans, Potatoes. 
Far from: Fennel.
Planting tip: Seed scarification helps germination. Soak seeds in warm water for up to 24H before planting. Sow seed indoors 2-4 weeks before last frost.||Nasturtiums thrive in poor to average, slightly acidic, well-drained soil.
Harvesting tip: Harvest when flowers are fully open. Leaves are also edible.
Storage tip: Use fresh; flowers, leaves, and seeds do not store well. Pickle green seed pods in vinegar as a caper substitute.
