Le prunier vampire est un arbre fruitier rustique réputé pour ses fruits d’un rouge profond, presque noir. Il prospère sous les climats froids et produit des fruits qui se consomment frais ou en confiture. Cette variété est appréciée pour sa fructification régulière et son intérêt ornemental, notamment grâce à son feuillage sombre.
