Great eaten fresh or dried. Originally developed by Russ Crow in Michigan, it was nearly lost before being found and brought back into circulation by Bob Wildfong from Seeds of Diversity and then to Andrea Berry of Hope Seeds.

Companion plants: Corn, Carrot, Cabbage, Cucumber, Pea, Radish, Potato, Squash, Nasturtium, Rosemary. 
Far from: Alliums, Beet.
Planting tip: Direct seed after last frost. To continuously harvest, plant in 3-week intervals.
Harvesting tip: Wait until pods and enclosed seeds have reached full maturity. For dry beans, allow plenty of space for airflow so they can dry later in the season.
Storage tip: It’s best to only freeze dry beans.

Excellent consommé frais ou séché. Variété cultivée à l’origine par Russ Crow dans le Michigan, elle a failli disparaître avant d’être retrouvée et remise en circulation par Bob Wildfong de Seeds of Diversity, puis par Andrea Berry de Hope Seeds.

Ensemencement: Pour améliorer la germination. Semez directement en pleine terre après les dernières gelées. Pour une récolte continue, semez à intervalles de 3 sem..
Récolte: Attendez que les gousses et les graines enfermées aient atteint une maturité complète. Pour les haricots secs, laissez beaucoup d’espace pour la circulation de l’air afin qu’ils puissent sécher plus tard dans la saison.
Entreposage: C’est mieux de ne congeler que les haricots secs.
