Blue Lake pole bean seeds yield straight, stringless pods that are remarkably smooth and offer a bolder flavor compared to bush beans. The plants generate a significant quantity of round to oval, dark green, tender, and meaty pods measuring 15–18 cm (6-7″) in length. With an extended harvest window, Blue Lake consistently produces new pods when harvested regularly. Supporting its tall vines with a pole or trellis is recommended. The popularity of this variety stems from its prolific production.
