4′ stalks tall compact plant. One ear per plant. 4½” dark maroon-black ears with 15 rows are very decorative. A must for fall roadside stand.

Far from: Tomato.
Planting tip: Direct sow as soon as the soil has warmed up to 19°C.
Harvesting tip: Harvest when ear silks have dried out and kernels are full and filled up and appropriate colour has appeared.
Storage tip: After harvesting, pull all the husks back at one end of the ear. Bundle a few corns in this manner, tie the husks together w/ a string, and hang them in a dry, well-ventilated location for a few weeks.

Plant compact de 4′ de haut. Un épi par plante. Les épis de 4½” marron-noir foncé à 15 rangs de grains sont très décoratifs. Superbe pour le stands d’automne au bord de la route.

Entreposage: Après la récolte, ramenez toutes les enveloppes à une extrémité de l’épi. Regroupez quelques épis de cette manière, attachez les enveloppes ensemble avec une ficelle et suspendez-les dans un endroit sec et bien ventilé pendant quelques semaines.
