Armenian cucumber, believed to originate in India with a long history in the Middle East, is prized for its non-bitter flavor. Fruits can reach 36″, and are best harvested young at 12″ for fresh eating or pickling. Botanically it’s a melon—if left to fully mature it becomes more melon-like and may burst before harvest, but this stage is ideal for saving seed. Vitamins+: B5, B6+, C++, K+, K, Mg, Water Companions: Peas, Corn, Beans, Radish, Beets, Carrot, Onion, Marigold, Nasturtium, Sunflower, Oregano, Dill. Far from: Potato, Sage, Mint, Melon.
