Early Mohawk is one of the hardiest of the dwarf varieties. Highly productive and very popular among market gardeners for early string-bean. Our dear friend Richard Beaudette shared these with us.

Companion plants: Corn, Carrot, Cabbage, Cucumber, Pea, Radish, Potato, Squash, Nasturtium, Rosemary.
Far from: Alliums, Beet.
Planting tip: Direct seed after last frost. To continuously harvest, plant in 3-week intervals.
Harvesting tip: Wait until pods and enclosed seeds have reached full maturity. For dry beans, allow plenty of space for airflow so they can dry later in the season.
Storage tip: It’s best to only freeze dry beans.

Early Mohawk est l’une des plus rustiques des variétés naines. Très productive et très populaire parmi les maraîchers pour le haricot à fil précoce. C’est notre cher ami Richard Beaudette qui nous les a envoyées.

Plantes compagnes: Maïs, Carotte, Chou, Concombre, Pois, Radis, Patate, Courge, Capucine, Romarin.
Loin de: Alliums, Betterave.
Ensemencement: Pour améliorer la germination. Semez directement en pleine terre après les dernières gelées. Pour une récolte continue, semez à intervalles de 3 sem..
Récolte: Attendez que les gousses et les graines enfermées aient atteint une maturité complète. Pour les haricots secs, laissez beaucoup d’espace pour la circulation de l’air afin qu’ils puissent sécher plus tard dans la saison.
Entreposage: C’est mieux de ne congeler que les haricots secs.
