Introduced by John Lewis Childs of Floral Park, NY in 1921 as Ruby Gold Tomato, later renamed Gold Medal by Ben Quisenberry, this variety produces 1-3 lb smooth, bi-colored fruits. The yellow tomatoes showcase a stunning blush of rosy red, offering both visual appeal and exceptional taste. These tomatoes feature firm, sweet, and mildly flavored flesh, making them ideal for fresh eating. This tomato adds elegance to gardens with its captivating appearance and delicious fruits. Planting tip: Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before planting. Reduce water & nitrogen when hardening off. Staking required.
Harvesting tip: For best taste harvest when fully ripe, expressed its full colour. Can also harvest when tomato is green and expressed its 1st blush; if so, let tomato ripen off-vine above 21°C.
Storage tip: Store at 12-21°C, relative humidity 95%.

Introduite par John Lewis Childs de Floral Park, NY en 1921 sous le nom de Ruby Gold Tomato, rebaptisée Gold Medal par Ben Quisenberry, cette variété produit des fruits lisses et bicolores de 1-3lbs. Les tomates jaunes se parent d’un étonnant rouge rosé, offrant à la fois un attrait visuel et un goût exceptionnel. Ces tomates ont une chair ferme, sucrée et légèrement aromatisée, ce qui les rend idéales pour être consommées fraîches. Cette tomate ajoute de l’élégance aux jardins grâce à son apparence captivante et à ses fruits délicieux. INDÉTERMINANT.

Récolte: Pour un meilleur goût, récoltez lorsque pleinement mûre, sa couleur pleinement exprimée. On peut aussi récolter lorsque verte, a exprimé sa 1re couleur. Alors, laissez la mûrir hors-vigne à 22°C ou +.
Entreposage: Conservez à 12-21°C et humidité relative de 95%.
