ID: 53417 | Planting Tip: Direct sow seeds outdoors in early spring after the last frost or start indoors 4-6 weeks before. This plant prefers well-drained, moderately fertile soil. Harvesting Tip: Harvest outer leaves when they reach full size by cutting at the base. Can also cut the whole plant 2-3 cm above the crown for regrowth. Harvest in the morning for best crispness. Storage Tip: Refrigerate unwashed leaves in a loosely sealed bag for up to 1 week. Wash only before use as moisture accelerates decay. |
