Vibrant yellow Jack O’Lantern suited to Halloween decorations. Handsome ribbed fruits with flat bottoms sit evenly on your porch or table. Strong, dark green handles are well attached for easy harvest and handling. Shows field tolerance to powdery mildew. Bred through collaboration between High Mowing and the University of New Hampshire. A portion of the sales for this variety are paid to the breeder. Semi-bush habit, 10-16lb fruit.

Companion plants: Corn, Pole Beans, Radish, Marigold, Nasturtium, Oregano, Calendula.

Planting tip: Soak seeds 24 hrs and scarify to boost germination. Start indoors 3–4 weeks before last frost, or direct sow late May–early June once soil is 25°C. For exhibition pumpkins, sow 2–3 seeds per hill spaced 15–20′ apart; thin to 1 plant at 3–4″ tall, and after the first pumpkin sets, remove extra flowers and fruit.
Harvesting tip: Mature fruit have a rich color & rinds are hard to dent with a fingernail. The ground spot also gets riper in color (yellow to cream, gold to orange). Cut 2” stem to avoid stem rot. Must cure in a dry, warm place.
Storage tip: Store at 10-12°C w/ 55-75% humidity & good air circulation.

Jack O’Lantern jaune vibrant convenant aux décorations d’Halloween. Les beaux fruits côtelés à fond plat se posent uniformément sur votre porche ou votre table. Les poignées solides, vert foncé, sont bien attachées pour une récolte et une manipulation faciles. Montre une tolérance au champ à l’oïdium. Obtenu grâce à une collaboration entre High Mowing et l’Université du New Hampshire. Une partie des ventes de cette variété est versée à l’obtenteur. Port semi-bush, fruits de 10 à 16 livres.

Ensemencement: Faites tremper les graines pendant 24 heures et scarifiez-les pour favoriser la germination. Commencez à l’intérieur 3 à 4 sem. avant le dernier gel, ou semez directement fin mai-début juin lorsque le sol atteint 25 °C. Pour les citrouilles d’exposition, semez 2 à 3 graines par butte espacées de 15 à 20 cm ; éclaircissez pour ne garder qu’un plant de 7 à 10 cm de haut, et après la formation de la première citrouille, retirez les fleurs et les fruits supplémentaires.
Récolte: Les fruits mûrs ont une couleur riche et une écorce difficile à creuser avec l’ongle. De plus, la couleur de la tache au sol devient plus mûre (jaune à crème, or à orange). Couper 2″ de tige pour éviter la pourriture par la tige. Doit mûrir dans un endroit sec et chaud.
Entreposage: Stocker à 10-12°C avec 55-75% d’humidité et une bonne circulation d’air.
