This colorful Red Onion is a versatile and low-maintenance variety, producing large, slightly flat onions with deep purplish-red skin and a rich flavor. The purply tone is retained when used raw in salads or sliced on sandwiches. As a short-day variety, it doesn’t demand special attention and tends to be slightly spicier than other red onions. Bulbs reach around 3-4″ when fully matured, and harvesting early enhances the intensity of the flavor. Vitamins+: B6, C++, K1, K+ Companions: Brassicas, Carrot, Tomato, Lettuce, Beet, Parsnip, Chamomile, Rose, Strawberry. Far from: Beans, Peas, Asparagus. GaiaOrganics.ca |
