Lovely flowers known throughout the tropics for their flavouring qualities. Edible leaves that used extensively in south Indian cooking. Requires a long hot growing season. Start early and transplant as soon as it gets warmer and danger of last frost has passed.

Planting tip: Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. It can be direct sown outside when all danger of frost has passed.

Harvesting Tip Must be handled gently as leave bruise easily or turn black. Harvest mid to late afternoon, after morning dew has dried off for strongest oil content.

Storage Tip  Store in plastic bag for up to 3-4 days
