A gourmet Japanese eggplant with green skin, perfect for grilling or enjoying raw with ponzu or salt. The firm skin encases mild, sweet, and creamy flesh without bitterness. Introduced to Japan in the 8th century, this variety reflects centuries of breeding for superior eating quality and boasts exceptional heat tolerance.

Far from: Fennel, Corn.
Planting tip: Sow indoors 8-12 weeks before the last frost date. Transplant outside when day time °T is 18°C and night time °T is more than 10°C. Germination can take up to 7-14 days.
Harvesting tip: Harvest eggplants when skin is glossy and thumbprint will not leave an impression.
Storage tip: Store at 10-12°C w/ 90% humidity for up to 1 week.

Une aubergine japonaise gastronomique à peau verte, parfaite pour les grillades ou la dégustation crue avec du ponzu ou du sel. La peau ferme renferme une chair douce, sucrée et crémeuse, sans amertume. Introduite au Japon au 8e siècle, cette variété est le fruit de siècles de sélection pour une qualité gustative supérieure et une tolérance exceptionnelle à la chaleur.
Plantes compagnes: Haricots, okra, thym, aneth, menthe, estragon, patate, laitue, basilic, poivron, épinard, tournesol.
Loin de: Fenouil, maïs.
Ensemencement: Semer à l’intérieur 8 à 12 sem. avant la date du dernier gel. Repiquez à l’extérieur lorsque la °T diurne est de 18°C et la °T nocturne de plus de 10°C. La germination peut prendre jusqu’à 7-14 jours.
Récolte: Récolter les aubergines lorsque la peau est lustrée et que l’empreinte du pouce ne laisse pas de trace.
Entreposage: Conservez à 10-12°C avec 90% d’humidité jusqu’à 1 semaine.
