Native to Brazil, it has antibacterial and immune-stimulating effects. Its ability to provide a tingling and subsequently numbing sensation makes it a good treatment for tooth pain and mouth irritation. Its leaves are utilised in cooking due to its zesty lemon flavour. Sort of like the herbal equivalent of pop rocks candies, only stronger, with a surge of saliva that feels like waterfall rapids and high voltage static electricity dancing around your mouth.

Planting tip: Seed stratification is required for 2-3 weeks. Sow indoors 3-4 weeks before the last frost. The average germination time is 10 days.||Transplant after the last frost.

Originaire du Brézil, aux vertus antibactériennes et immunostimulantes. Sa capacité à procurer une sensation de picotement, puis d’engourdissement, en fait un bon traitement contre les douleurs dentaires et les irritations de la bouche. Ses feuilles sont utilisées en cuisine en raison de leur saveur citronnée puissante. L’équivalent herbal des bonbons pétillants, mais en plus fort, provoquant une vague de salive telle une cascade de rapides et de l’électricité statique à haute tension à l’intérieur de votre bouche.

Ensemencement: La stratification des semences est nécessaire pendant 2 à 3 sem.. Semez les semences à l’intérieur 3 à 4 sem. avant les dernières gelées et repiquez-les après les gelées. Le temps de germination moyen est de 10 jours.
